#MeToo #UsToo
Extremes like this will continue. It’s human nature to be messed up. We all know that. We’re no angels. We’re all just trying to get better, one person at a time, one day at a time. But until the world starts talking publicly about (as it is NOW) and accepts that sex has been used far too much, far too common (even priests, pastors, men of so-called spiritual leadership) — things will not begin to change unless there is a sea change.

As much life as we are allotted, every single breath is a gift. What we choose to do with our gifts can range from just “Being” to … pursuing an earnestly-felt desire. It’s up to us to choose how we spend the life-force energy we are blessed to receive, as a gift from the Universe.

To know one’s own true Self is the greatest gift we can ever have! And best of all, we can give it to our own Self. You don’t need someone to hand it to you. You don’t need to “earn” it. It’s every single person’s birthright, to explore this inner Self, what I call the ‘I’ within.

These days we all have this choice: Ought I buy into the huge amount of angst and anxiety going around, due to all sorts of factors (Nature sending us messages of dis-content; the political arena in an unsettling uproar; scandals loosening our tongues about age-old abuses and oppression surrounding others’ use of sexual control, etc. etc.) … OR we could choose to turn within, and seek shelter in the calm of our inner space.
We all have the same choice. Be fearful or stay in our Big Heart of Our Shared Humanity.

Which brings me to … the subject of my post today … staying calm in the worst situation imaginable, the subject of my literary nonfiction book … “in the I … easing through life-storms” … whose publication date is imminent!

Ahhhhh, “I Understand …”
Most people, myself included, have no desire to be in this state of All-Oneness continually. It’s too much! It’s too — too much! A continual state of immersion in Oneness simply doesn’t “fit” well with my family’s demands, my work’s necessities, and much of everyone else’s modern, so-busy, multi-tasking responsibilities. But, some people prefer to cultivate this state. Usually, when the kids have flown the nest! My father-in-law was in this state continually in the years before he died. But … he was in his nineties.

Sat-chid-ananda, the Beingness within us that is filled with the Light of understanding (from experiencing Oneness in thought-form, which is meditation) resulting in that inner state known as … bliss.
Here’s a link I made that might help. It’s very easy. You can listen to it anytime. Even in the midst of a busy day. While you’re sitting at your desk. In between traffic lights on the way home. It’s not a “lights out, gotta get away from everything” kind of meditation. It’s a very workable, two-minute introduction to “how easy” it is to meditate, to become One with bliss. Satchidananda.

Our stressed-out world needs to know that right within every person’s own being, just as the yoga-girls in lockup found out in our class, every person has the power to change themselves. Just by wanting to. Being aware of needing to change is all it takes — for change to start happening. Of course, having someone demonstrate, or share books like I’m doing, about how change can be done, helps enormously. That’s why I call myself a spiritual activist. It’s my job … to spiritually help others who are interested in uplifting their perspective on things.

For the average person who’s interested in the betterment of our world, the survival of our planet, and the uplifting of humankind’s mass consciousness — we too must maintain a vigilance in the name of Truth. We must watch the words we speak. When our hearts are open, we have an obligation to serve Love. We do this, by watching every word, and thought, we allow in our consciousness. When our spiritual centers are open full-blast (and stay open!) … our thoughts and words are our weapons to destroy un-truth. WE warriors in the Army of Love MUST BE VIGILANT.
